Faroese, Greenlandic and Norwegian capelin fisheries in Icelandic waters

According to bilateral agreements between Iceland and each of  our neighboring countries, Faroe Islands, Greenland and Norway, respectively, the following regulations have been issued allowing fishing vessels from these countries to catch capelin in Icelandic waters in 2021.

The regulation on  Faroese capelin fisheries allows Faroese vessels to catch a total of 6.365 tons.  The fishing period is from 15 January to 30 April 2021.

The regulation on  Greenlandic capelin fisheries allows Greenlandic vessels to catch a total of 9.293 tons.  The fishing period is from 15 January to 30 April 2021.

The regulation on  Norwegian capelin fisheries allows Norwegian vessels to catch a total of 41.808 tons.  The fishing period is from 15 January to 22 February 2021.
